Spending up to 10 hours a day sending it for film and photo crews alike, Snowboarder Magazine has officially announced last call and let the women of 2010 Ms. Superpark 6 presented by Gatorade at Snow Summit go home. Hounded at times by wind, snow and fog, the ladies continually held it down on a variety of hits made possible by the amazing Snow Summit park staff.
Though the park laid out for the women isn’t typically what you’d find at Summit, now would be a good time to address the comments regarding Snow Summits currently smaller park than the past. The decision to make more mini-features at Summit spawned from the idea to create a family resort, but this doesn’t mean these guys can’t build. Ms. Superpark 6 presented by Gatorade saw some of the best grooming around, including quarterpipe shaping on demand, sled rides like it was Christmas and major building done by Superpark regular Desi Hauer. These guys made it possible for the top-notch female talent to perform at a higher level, and for that we all are grateful.
Though slacking on the last day could have been easy, Jamie Anderson, Brooke Voigt, Colleen Quigley, Rana Okada, Desiree Melancon and a few others hung around the hip and tag teamed the quarterpipe. Jamie took a break from stock contest moves and stuck a few frontside inverts on the quarter, while Desiree and Colleen began jibbing the Gatorade light box on the deck of the hip. Some shit went down, but you’re just gonna have to wait to find out exactly what. The channel gap also played host to a sexy twosome as Raewyn Reid and Erin Comstock did a little doubles action for all to enjoy. Youngen Brooke Voigt also put down a massive method to make her elders proud.
With a surprisingly low body count on the injury list, Ms. Superpark has come to a close once again and it’s sure to be deemed a successful one. Check back for more on what these babes are up too and see all the dirty details of the 6th annual Ms. Superpark in print next year!
