With last winter coming up short for most regions it looks like resorts have already started to make up for it. With key mountains already open in each region the 2012/2013 season is seemingly well underway. Check out this cavalcade of early season shred edits from Killington, Mammoth, Bear, Mt. Snow and Keystone and start planning where you are gonna ride this weekend.
In the 80’s and 90’s Killington was always the first resort in the country to open. Looks like the Big K is back up to form and treating snowboarders right with a handful of jibs strewn around a slope that doesn’t appear to be your usual white ribbon of death. Even looks kinda warm. Produced by the Fairgrounds Swingers Club this video features Al Grogan, Walter Prominitz, Tom Buchtman, Matt Shaffer, Skylar Brent, Sean Kaulbach, Bryan Harper, Brett Stewart and Eugene Stancato.
Here’s a 32 edit from Mammoth featuring Castro and Jordan Smalls. Along the way they stopped and helped clean the highway, and sessioned skateparks.
Mark Ass is back with his loose lapping flavor and it looks like Bear Mountain has a better early season park than most resorts to mid winter. Johnny Miller and Lenny Mazzotti are the ones getting the goods in this opening day edit.
The early season edit stompede continues with Mount Snow’s Corinthia Parks C Sessions 3.1 featuring Shaun Murphy, Zack Wilmot, Levi Gunzburg, Casey Willax, Steve Anderson, and other right coast riders.
Buck 90 is back reppin’ Summit County with an early season Keystone edit. While riders everywhere are dusting off the cobwebs and getting their riding legs back underneath them, the same is happening behind the lens. All the new cameras and editing tricks that filmers have been scheming about all summer long finally get brought to the slopes and like the tricks being filmed a little trial and error ensues. In this video it is apparent that Keystone is continuing to build a rep as the early season park epicenter.
