SNOWBOARDER Magazine proceeds to its final stop of the One Hit Wonder series at Brighton, UT on April 9th, 2011. The One Hit Wonder series is a unique new showdown specifically tailored for those riders who consider combos a snack and the act of linking tricks thinking too far ahead.
“We’re so happy to be capping off this series at Brighton, UT,” said SNOWBOARDER Publisher Jeff Baker. “The talent in that area is sure to showcase their skills in a exciting way.“

The format for each stop on the One Hit Wonder series has been simplified to reward gusto over strategy and the setup is one of a kind. Instead of a series of obstacles combining for an elaborate course, The One Hit Wonder Tour focuses on a single multi-option feature, which allows riders to distinguish themselves via creativity. 3 judges will base their decisions on the single best tricks of each Jam.
“After 5 long years of research and development the scientists and engineers at SNOWBOARDER Magazine in cooperation with the CERN Laboratory in Switzerland and MIT in Boston, have developed a contest which has revolutionized what was previously thought impossible in the competitive snowboarding arena,” said SNOWBOARDER Editor, Pat Bridges. “What I am speaking of is The One Hit Wonder which showcases a manmade terrain element that combines multiple riding options into a single, infinitely session-able feature. It truly is a wonder of modern snow sculpting science which has to be seen to be believed.”
Like SNOWBOARDER’s successful Superpass Series, each of the One Hit Wonder stops are free but only open to the first 50 registrants on a first come, first serve registration basis. This means arrive early and ready to ride. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian on hand to sign release forms and huck buckets, aka, helmets, aren’t an option, they are MANDATORY!
