The Mervin crew has created a monster with the Downtown Throwdown (in addition to the fact that the event is fueled by Monster), and by monster we mean a megalith of a pre-season snowboard event that takes over cities with snow and rails and puts on a display of epic snowboarding. This is the kind of monster we like to see in cities. Way better than that giant lizard. In the newest Weird and Bitchin’ video from the Lib Tech and Gnu crew, this awesome event takes center stage.
From Lib Tech:
For this installment of Weird and Bitchin’ we head out to Minneapolis, MN for the 8th annual (tenth ever!) Lib Tech’s Downtown Throwdown (fueled by Monster). From an empty parking lot in the heart of the city to a three level mini slope style course with the likes of Forest Bailey, Ted Borland, Jason Robinson and Brandon Reis tearing it apart; the Downtown Throwdown did not disappoint. Three stories of snowboard mayhem getting ripped apart by 30 of the world’s best? Weird and bitchin’ indeed.
