Earlier this winter, I was granted the opportunity to shoot with Seth Huot in Arlberg, Austria. Needless to say, I was honored, as I’d grown up watching his video parts and it’s safe to say that Seth and his Salt Lake City contingent (JP and Jeremy) were the paramount influencers when I was on the hill, as I attempted to emulate their crew upon approaching every rail, jump, or transition. Needless to say, my freestyle forte was short lived, but luckily, I found myself lucky enough to be in a small European mountain town with a few lights set up and Seth standing atop a massive redirect. When he rode away successfully, that’s when it truly hit me. Seth is a guy who’s filmed more video parts than most pro snowboarders have been riding and he’s still so damn good. What went down that day was one of the most astonishing things I’ve seen in me tenure at SNOWBOARDER Magazine, and after watching Seth ride in person, I can assure you that there’s still plenty left to come from him. Read below to see what’s pumping through his headphones as he’s riding pow, jibbing, or getting ready to go out after a long day of destroying everything he straps in above.
