In response to one of the largest natural disasters in the U.S. history, 686 is reaching out to help. From Saturday Sept 2 to Monday Sept 4, they will be donating 20% of all sales on 686.com to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.
“Over the years, we have created a large extended family of retailers, supporters and friends in Texas through our shared love for snowboarding, skiing and the outdoors.” Says Brent Sandor, Vice President of Marketing for 686. “While we have personal connections with those in the snow scene, this is about so much more. It’s about humanity and lending a helping hand. It’s important that as a community we all pitch in to help in any way we can – big or small. Whether you have the means to help or just spread the message, every little bit will help those going through these trying times.”
In addition 686 has is urging people to come together and help the victims of Hurricane Harvey, whether through a private donation to the American Red Cross or through other charities (http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/08/28/546745827/looking-to-help-those-affected-by-harvey-here-s-a-list) and will be holding a lightly used clothing drive next week in its hometown of Los Angeles to send to those affected.
