After an experimental year of producing stuff and messing around, Alone Collective opened their website + online store.
“It took us a long time to get everything done as we exaclty figured out but finally we did it, even if 90% of the visitors will find it quite weird. It is exactly the way we feel” said co-founder Ross about the new purple web platform.
On the website, quite simple and purple hazed, the bold links bring you to the twitter, facebook and tumblr pages that the collective use on a daily basis to stay in touch with their friends and followers.
Then by hitting the We’re Open button you enter the online store page, where you can buy the stuff that the collective is repping since day one.
“We are clothing maniacs, so we tried many fabrics, designs and cuts before putting our goods on the shelves” Continue Ross “and even they’re pretty simple, there is tons of research behind them; like the unconventional decision to get out with only two sizes. It can sound weird but we are pretty strong with that and after all, it’s our hallmark”.
About Alone Collective
Alone Collective is a contradiction for definition. A Collective made of lonely individuals is quite a paradox, so we live on the edge of the absurd, making impossible things possible.
It’s the urgency to spread a personal point of view in a world where individuality usually ends in alienation, where conformity is the rule.
Well if it’s like that, we’re are a counter culture, we go against trends and conveniences.
We push culture and boardsports and we instigate our lonely soldiers to scream their individuality and be proud of it.
Alone Collective is not a crew, it’s a group of people chosen for their personal perspective on their own thing, coming from all over the world.
Alone Collective has no flag or language.
Once the great Orson Wells said “We’re born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we’re not alone.”
We are The Alone Collective.
