New Waterville App for iphone and February Terrain Park Events
Waterville Valley, NH, January 17, 2011- Waterville Valley Resort is introducing the Waterville Valley Ski Resort App for iPhone. Stay up to date and connected on the current conditions, trail maps, resort cams, snow reports, and upcoming events. Another feature of the app is that it gives the option to connect with other people on the mountain. Using social networking accounts such as Facebook and Twitter skiers and riders can chat live to other app users on the mountain. For more info and to download click on the App Store icon.
February is loaded with events here at Waterville Valley. Highlights include the Boarding for Breast Cancer Pink Rail Jam, North Face Park and Pipe Series, Volcom PB & Rail Jam, and the Snowboarder Magazine Superpass Event. There is something happening every weekend, with plenty of opportunities to come up to Waterville and watch or participate in some big events.

Waterville Valley Snake Run presented by Red Bull
Back for it’s second year, the all snow no concrete is the name of the game at this event. A skate inspired course in the Psyched Park will feature Waterville’s newest Red Bull signature feature. There will be 4 divisions: Open, 14 & Under, Ladies and Washed up. Registration will run 8-10am at the Waterville Valley Event Yurt and the contest is free with a lift ticket or seasons pass.

Waterville Goes Pink: Rail Jam and Raffle for Breast Cancer!
Come to Waterville Valley on Super Bowl Sunday to help support Boarding for Breast Cancer. The Pink Rail Jam will kick off the day and all proceeds from the event will go to B4BC. Registration will be from 8-10am at the Event Yurt and will be $40 with a Poma lift ticket, goodie bag and pink raffle ticket. The Rail Jam is open to all, skiers and riders and we get going at 11am. Pink Raffle tickets will be sold all weekend for a chance to win one of the “Ultimate Women’s Set-Ups” from Rome, Burton, Forum, and Rossignol and products from Oakley, Eastern Boarder, and Volcom. Raffle Tickets cost $2 a piece or 6 for $10 and you do not need to be present to win. This is an incredible chance to help support Boarding for Breast Cancer. WV Park Series #2
The second installment of the mini slopestyle series for the 16 and under crowd will take place in the Psyched Park. Skiers and Riders compete on the same day with a $5 registration fee. The contest is open to anyone 16 or under and will have 12 and under and 13-16 divisions. The overall winner of the 3 part series for 12 and under will win a new snowboard or skis and 13-16 will receive a one-year sponsorship from Waterville Valley. There will also be raffles to give away prizes. Registration takes place from 8am-10am in the Events Yurt.

The North Face Park and Pipe Series- Freeski
Waterville Valley is the only North Face Park and Pipe’s stop on the east coast! This will be a four day long event offering skiers from all over the east a chance to compete in one of the biggest contests around. Two days of skiers throwing down on a huge slopestyle course and one day for superpipe. The cash purse for this event is $20,000! Finals for slopestyle and superpipe will take place on Saturday and Sunday. Registration is live so sign up to secure a spot. WV Park Series #3 Finals!
This is the last event in the 16 and under mini slopestyle series. The final competition will take place in Exhibition park with skiers and riders gunning for the overall points win and first place prizes of a new snowboard or skis (12 and under division) or a one year Waterville Valley sponsorship (13-16 division). Also there will be a raffle for some free sponsor swag. Registration for the event is $5 and will take place from 8am-10am in the Events Yurt.

Volcom PB & Rail Jam
The best rail jam on earth comes back to Waterville Valley! There will be 15 and under, 16 and under, girls, and open divisions. The open division will include cash prizes. This is a snowboarding only event and helmets are required. Sponsors include Volcom, Electric, and Transworld Snowboarding. Registration is limited so secure a spot HERE. Registration/Check-in starts at 8am in the Event Yurt and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign their waiver.

Snowboarder Magazine Superpass Event
This is the only chance in New England for riders to score a pass to Superpark, aside from begging sponsors. Snowboarders will showcase their skills on the triple line of jumps to earn their spot and receive that elusive pass to Superpark 15. Judges will score 2 semi-final runs and a best of 3 finals run to decide the winner. Top finishers receive prizes from sponsors such as Volcom, High Cascade Snowboard Camp, Capita, Electric and Bagjump.
