As part of the Red Bull Signature Series, backcountry snowboarding takes center stage
at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, British Columbia
New York – March 27, 2013 – Red Bull Ultra Natural, a backcountry snowboarding competition presented by Nike Snowboarding, features 16 of the world’s top riders as they drop into a steep, untouched mountain dotted with more than 80 features designed to showcase both the athletes’ big-mountain skills as well as their technical prowess. Ultra Natural, part of the Red Bull Signature Series, airs from Baldface Lodge just outside of Nelson, B.C., Canada, this Saturday, March 30 on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Redefining what is possible in competition, viewers will get to see 16 snowboarders converge on the run known as “Scary Cherry” at Baldface Lodge, fighting variable weather conditions and a variety of both natural and man-made features on the nearly mile long course. International stars such as Austria’s Gigi Rüf and Switzerland’s Nicolas Müller join U.S. riders such as Travis Rice and Southern California’s Bryan Fox, turning in difficult tricks off the tree-top launch pads, hand-sculpted jumps and man-made features.
