SPECK ANNOUNCES COLLABORATION WITH BURTON SNOWBOARDS ON NEW ‘FITTED X BURTON’ LINE OF iPod touch 4th GEN CASES
PALO ALTO, CA — November 15, 2010 – Speck and Burton Snowboards today unveiled their first collaboration, the Fitted x Burton limited edition line of cases for the new iPod touch 4th generation. Each custom fabric-wrapped case features patterns from Burton’s 2011 outerwear collection.
“So many of the Burton crew use Apple products, so it’s been really cool to work with Speck on an Apple accessory,” stated Greg Dacyshyn, Chief Creative Officer, Burton Snowboards. “Both Burton and Apple are all about innovation, and we can’t wait to see our outerwear textures and prints popping up on these cases this holiday season.”
Printed on soft fabric that’s seamlessly fused to Speck’s popular hard-shell Fitted protective case, these limited-edition Burton offerings are designed to complement the impressive capabilities and display of the iPod touch. The fabric-wrapped exterior of Speck’s road-tested Fitted case increases in-hand comfort and the soft-touch coated, raised front bezel design helps protect the iPod face and touch screen when placed face down. Fitted x Burton cases are available in True Black Buffalo Print, Lumber Print, and Toile Print for a MSRP of $39.95.
“Few brands on the planet better fuse together style and function than Burton,” said Rusty Everett, Executive Vice President of Sales for Speck. “Their dedication to snowboarding and to creating industry-leading products has always been a big inspiration to us. This project pushed Speck to a new level.”
