From Red Bull TV:
The 35th annual Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships brings the world’s top professional snowboarders together from February 27th to March 4th to compete in the Halfpipe and Slopestyle disciplines. The week of competition culminates with the men’s and women’s finals of both events, which will air live on Red Bull TV March 3rd and 4th starting at 10am PST both days. Red Bull TV is distributed digitally as an app across mobile phones, tablets, consoles, OTT devices, Smart TVs and online at www.redbull.tv.
As the longest continually running snowboarding competition in the world, the Burton US Open carries an air of prestige and importance that few other events can match. Unique to the 2017 contest, The Burton US Open serves as a one of the last major contests before the 2018 Winter Olympics. Whoever takes home the title in March will be a favorite to take home the gold medal at PyeongChang in 2018.
Snowboarding legend Shaun White and 16 year-old wonder kid Chloe Kim look to return to the top of the podium in the men’s and women’s Halfpipe competition. While the Slopestyle contest will bring big airs and technical tricks as 6-time X Games gold medalist Mark McMorris looks to lay it down after recovering from a devastating leg injury with a return to dominance in 2017.
