If you're a snowboarder you have to go to Europe. That was certainly case this winter for any and all of us living on the West Coast of North America. Especially the dudes trying to put out video parts or get photos published. Winter didn't really happen for us. So, we had to cut, catch flights and find snow somewhere east of the Atlantic. Sure, pro snowboarders (and us media wanks) are blessed with this privilege, but, really, honestly, any and all snowboarders have to go to Europe at some point in their life. And it's easier than you might imagine. Yes, the plane ticket will probably cost you close to a grand. But, once you're there the travel can be pretty affordable. Lift tickets cost less than most resorts in the States. Same goes for rental rigs. Or, better yet, just jump on trains. They'll take you anywhere and everywhere you want to go. AirBnB can lead you to reasonably priced places to stay and if you stock up at the local grocery stores, you can eat on the cheap too. Plus, if you time it right, you'll be treated to some of the best powder boarding of your life. We were.
