On October 3rd, following the world premiere of Mr. Plant, John Cavan, Pat Bridges and I headed north to Burlington, Vermont for a premiere of The SNOWBOARDER Movie: Foreword. For this particular stop, we hit up Matt Jagemann and his White Flag crew to help organize a showing with the UVM Snowboard Club and they locked down a huge theater on campus and helped spread the word. A few hundred kids turned out for the premiere but before Foreword hit the silver screen, the crowd was witness to Buck 90's new flick Itis. Their film was a grassroots success in my opinion, showcasing exactly how you make it to the big leagues: by filming non-stop and trying to log your best clips until one day, someone takes notice and you're given your shot. After Itis, Foreword premiered and the film was well-received. Local hero Hans Mindnich was in attendance and his part garnered the loudest cheers, while Dillon Ojo, Spencer Schubert and Blake Paul seemed to be crowd favorites as well. If you haven't had a chance to see Foreword in full yet, just go to Snowboarder.com and have a look for yourself. Thanks to Hailey Ronconi, Ryan Manning, Matt Jagemann and the UVM Snowboard Club for helping us premiere Foreword in Burlington, and thanks to everyone who came out to see the movie.
