NEW FILM “LOON EVERYDAY” SHOWCASES LOON MOUNTAIN PARK SCENE

LINCOLN, NH – November 5, 2012 Loon Mountain Resort is excited to announce the release of “Loon EveryDay,” a video that showcases the endless jibs, lofty airs, and behind-the-camera talent that are all a part of everyday life at Loon Mountain’s award-winning terrain parks. Featuring members of the Loon Mountain Snowboard Team and other local riders, “Loon EveryDay” celebrates the passion, camaraderie, and progression that define Loon’s vibrant park scene. The video is sure to give riders a sense of the sheer scale and variety of Loon’s terrain parks, which Freeskier Magazine named the best in the East, and Transworld Snowboarding ranked among the top three in Eastern North America. The footage for “Loon Everyday” was filmed and edited by Loon local Skylar Brent, who also produced the popular “Loonatics” web series. While filming the “Loonatics” webisodes, Brent, 21, was picked up by Videograss, a leading snowboard film production company. This fall, with the backing of Videograss, Brent and his own independent production company, Keep The Change, released the feature-length snowboarding film “Holy Smokes.” Brent says filming at Loon gave him the exposure he needed to make his mark on the snowboarding world. “I guess we just had such an awesome group of riders that people enjoyed watching, and people just kept watching it,” Brent said. “I just kept producing it and people kept asking for more. Eventually it just built up enough hype to the point where we just had enough attention on us.” To read a full-length interview with Skylar Brent, visit the Loon Blog at blog.loonmtn.coms. To view “Loon EveryDay,” visit youtube.com/loonmountain, or Loon Parks’ new Facebook page at facebook.com/loonparksnh. The film “Holy Smokes” is available for purchase at snowboard shops throughout the country, and online at the iTunes store. Loon Mountain Resort is New England’s most-accessible mountain resort destination, featuring Superior Snow, Guaranteed, 2,100 feet of vertical, and three peaks full of terrain variety. Terrain ranges from gentle beginner slopes to long cruisers, steeps and tree skiing, plus a full progression of award-winning terrain parks, halfpipe and superpipe. Loon’s Snowsports School offers programs for all ages and abilities and the Adventure Center features zipline, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice-skating, equipment rentals, tours, and an indoor climbing wall. Loon Mountain is operated by Boyne Resorts, the largest family-owned four-season resort company in North America, and is located in the White Mountain National Forest, operating in partnership with the USDA-Forest Service. Birdman: 2012 Season Edit

We got excited when we saw Birdman had put out a season edit, but quickly realized it was not Lil Wayne's adoptive father, or our red headed co-worker. It turned out to be this kid Graham Mear, and even though he wasn't one of the two aforementioned characters... he happened to be a pretty good snowboarder. We placed this edit on our Facebook to let you decide if you thought it deserved a spot on our site. And with an overwhelming positive response here it is... Birdman's 2012 season edit.
