The Mad Ones is a a web-based video project by Liam Gallagher. Inspired by the Beat Generation and specifically the writings of Jack Kerouac, The Mad Ones will follow the freaks, all winter long. Web flicks will be released every Monday through May. Some will be action edits, others about odd balls or oddities seen, weird experiences or whatever else happens to happen. Then, next September it'll all be mashed into a free-for-download movie.

Last year Mt. Baker had one of the deepest snow years in history, and Scotty Wittlake was there to ride and document it, living the Glacier Washington dream. The Rascals is a film project produced and filmed by Scotty and Bryan Fox, and it's definitely a refreshing lo-fi offering riddled with classic super 8 footage and POV powder lines that leaves you wanting more. If this movie doesn't make you want to quit your job and become a powder bum, I don't know what will... The flick is available as an extra in Videograss's Retrospect, so pick up a copy today.

Noah Salasnek may not have introduced skate style to snowboarding but he certainly defined it. This summer Corey Smith headed up to his home town of Portland, Oregon along with filmer Kevin Castanheira and friends. The laughed, they cried, they partied, they spent too much money at Sassy's, and they built some handmade primitive wooden snowboards. They headed up to the slushy slopes of Mt. Hood.
