17-Year-Old Takeru Otsuka Wins X Games Norway Big Air Gold—Winning Runs

Japan’s Takeru Otsuka took home the gold with a stacked bag of tricks against a stacked field on a jump made of stacked scaffolding. One could say he even stacked a clip with the multiple camera angles on his front triple cork 1440 and cab triple 1440. Simply put, Takeru had a pretty impressive and productive Saturday, beating out 2018 Winter Olympic gold medalist Kyle Mack, perennial favorite Mark McMorris, and his Japanese teamate Yuki Kadono.

Marcus Kleveland Wins Silver:

Marcus Kleveland is no stranger to the podium, and he continued the trend with a silver at X Games Norway. In his home country of Norway, Marcus landed a flat spin backside 1440 as well as a Cab (switch frontside) 1620 but came up about 5 points short of topping Otsuka.

Chris Corning Takes Bronze:

Chris Corning made the trip from Colorado to Oslo and then flew over the crowd in the best two-of-three run format with a frontside 1440 and backside triple cork 1620, just edging out Seb Toots for third.
