2018 Adidas Das Tables Stop 4—Brighton Highlights
The precipitation was a bit wetter than usual last weekend at Brighton Resort, but the field of 70+ riders that showed up for the latest Adidas Das Tables event didn’t even think to stop lapping. Delays might happen in baseball, but sometimes a bit of rain is just what a grassroots snowboarding event needs.
For the second year in a row at the base of Milly Express, the local Brighton and Salt Lake City scene put on a clinic of creative snowboarding on the two table setups courtesy of Adidas, Milosport and the Brighton park staff. With a light drizzle in the morning changing to a full on downpour in the afternoon, the April showers might have dampened the mood a bit, but they still brought some positives to the tables in both sessions (no pun intended). The surfaces slid great, the snow held up, and nobody had to shower after hiking the setup all day. And with more accumulated tricks than inches, we will spare you anymore talk about the weather and just focus on the riding. Check out the Facebook lives below to see for yourself.
Cody Warble, Cooper Whittier, Mike Rav, Parker Szumowski, Michael McDaniel were just a few in the field looking for the large check at the end of the rainbow. Pressing, tweaking, and sliding over the features with different lines and approaches, Xander Cornaby, Danny McGonagle, Brandon Hobush, and Sierra Jewett put on quite the show. Bounty tricks, rewarded with Adidas product upon completion, were called out for riders to attempt and brand new gear being dolled out soon followed.
In the end, under the watch of Adidas’ own judges Ben Bilodeau and Alex Sherman, over $3,000 was handed out to the winners. Full results below:
