"Turning pro is a next step. It's an achievement and recognition for all the hard work you've been doing, the parts you've been putting out. Some companies don't treat it with the respect it deserves, but it's really a crowning achievement in a snowboard career. Danimals has been pro for a long time in a lot of people's minds–it's good to have it finally be official." – Joey Sexton
In early August, Ride Snowboards made the call to raise Dan “Danimals” Liedahl into the ranks of their global pro team. Turning pro is an unparalleled step for a snowboarder, but is often achieved with little fanfare. The crew at Ride set out to change this, bringing Ride teammates Spencer Schubert and Alex “Littlest” Sherman, as well as Joe Sexton, Jake Kuzyk, Jed Anderson, Darrell Mathes and more of Danimals’ friends to celebrate this accomplishment properly: with a week spent doing what Danimals does every day. The crew went skating, snowboarding, dirt biking–they lived the life of Danimals for a few short days in honor of this well deserving Minnesotan snowboarder. Congrats, Dan.
