Mountain Goat: Danny Davis
Danny Davis is a ramblin' man with one hell of a switch method to many, but to snowboarding as a whole, he is so much more than that. A winter Olympian and two-time X Games gold medalist with a riding approach not seen since another Danny with the last name Kass, Davis stands atop the rider's Rushmore yet again on our Mountain GOAT list.
From Michigan to Truckee, his impressive podium pedigree is only a sliver of what the bearded badass has contributed to our culture. Commonly known as the savior of style in today's modern era of huck-till-you-hit halfpipe riding, Davis has set a precedent in every aspect of snowboarding and left a fire on the mountain behind him. From his first video part, his critical involvement in the Frends crew, the founding of Peace Park, and even his latest part in The SNOWBOARDER Movie: Resolution, Davis influences the kits, tricks, and track selections of snowboarders everywhere. Commonly finding his way into our accolades year after year, Davis has a lot of notches on his belt. Our only advice to the misty mountain hopper would be to handmake a new spot for a notch because the Mountain GOAT stature is not a small one and we know he is far from done. Cheers to the ten years past. And here's to the next, as Danny D keeps truckin' along.
