Mountain Goat: Scott Stevens
Perhaps no other rider on this list can be considered as influential to the modern generation of pros and on-piste patrons alike than Scott Stevens. Raised in the mountain-less suburbs of Massachusetts, Scott is a product of his environment, and he utilized the flatlands surrounding his hometown to shape the way he rides his snowboard.
Getting his big debut with Think Thank Films and cementing his legacy through his longtime board sponsor CAPiTA's canon of snowboard movies, Scott made his mark by way of one-footing, fastplanting and tailblocking his way into the pro ranks on the silver screen, and the resulting ten years of his eccentric and unusual approach in his video parts forever changed freestyle riding and catalyzed a new genre and style of snowboarding. With multiple appearances on SNOWBOARDER's Top Ten Rider of the Year list, Scott Stevens has solidified himself as one of the all-time greats, and to think he's not even close to done...
