Rider Profile: Dylan Alito

While I always thought I first met Dylan Alito one night when he was fifteen years old and poaching a thirty-foot tall quarterpipe in Aspen, Dylan has corrected me since. Apparently, a year before, he poached Superpark at Keystone when he was maybe fourteen. He cut me off on the runway to a wallride and though I was pissed he pulled a good plant so I let it slide. Next thing you know we are on the chairlift together. After some mellow chatter I turned to him and gave him the talk. It went something like this: “So, you aren’t an invited Superpark rider, are you? How you answer this question could have a serious impact on the trajectory of your snowboarding career for some time to come.” He fessed up to poaching and I handed him a release form stating that if he came back the next day with his mother’s signature on it he was in. He had no idea that this was just a ploy to get his moms autograph. After all, she was a Playboy playmate.
