This past weekend, the Second Annual JLA Banked Slalom went down at Mammoth Mountain in California. About two hundred snowboarders showed up with freshly waxed bases in order to make turns down a custom-build banked slalom course with the goal of celebrating the life of Jeff Anderson and a collection passion for snowboarding. The start list packed a ton of on snow talent: Mammoth locals Kelly Clark, Greg Bretz, Scott Blum, and Trevor Jacob were joined by out-of-towners Mike Parillo, Chris Roach, Dave Downing, and Jeff’s brother and master of ceremonies, Billy Anderson (who came in a more-than-respectable eighth in the Open Division). Danny Kass, Gabe Taylor, Alex Lopez, Roan Rogers, and Shawn Farmer also dropped into the course and laid down lines. For the best picture of the day, we’ll let the photos do the talking, but one thing is for sure, the Second Annual JLA Banked Slalom was a day of celebration and really fun shredding in the name of good friend, Jeff Anderson.
