Superpark 17 presented by Gatorade begins on Monday, May 6th, and this year promises to up the ante, yet again.

Four of the best park crews in the world are assembled at Mt. Bachelor right now, pushing snow around the clock, creating never before seen, next level features for the incoming slew of talented snowboarders. Seven Springs, PA; Copper Mountain, CO; Boreal Mountain Resort, CA; and Loon Mountain, NH have all taken their rakes to Oregon, continuing Superpark's tradition of erecting the most progressive park of the year. Confirmed to partake in the historic Superpark 17 session from May 6th to the 10th are several hundred of the best riders in the world, including Mark McMorris, Dylan Thompson, Dustin Craven, Ethan Deiss, Marie France-Roy, Austin Smith, Sebastien Toutant, Jessica Kimura, Mikkel Bang, Lucas Magoon, Hana Beaman, Zac Marben, Pat Moore, Jake Olson-Elm, Louif Paradis, Gjermund Braaten, Desiree Melancon, Scott Stevens, and more.

For half a decade, Gatorade has been supporting the evolution of snowboarding with their commitment to Superpark. According to Martin Nance, Gatorade Global Sports Marketing, “Gatorade is excited to continue our partnership with Superpark again this year. These guys are out here early in the morning to late at night working hard to get the shots, which embodies the Gatorade spirit of being driven from within.”

For almost twenty years, Superpark has been the foremost arena for both riders and park builders to stake a claim in the snowboarding community. A legion of talented pros have dropped into legendary features built by crews the likes of Mammoth Mountain, Mt. Bachelor, Breckenridge, Lake Louise, Bear Mountain, High Cascade, Loon Mountain, and more. The outcomes and stories over the years have become a rich event heritage that SNOWBOARDER is proud to continue to deepen each season. As Superpark enters into its seventeenth year, take a walk through past Superparks here, and re-familiarize yourself with the long hours spent in cats by the builders; the jumps that were so gnarly, they got their own names; and the snowboarders who not only hucked themselves huge distances from takeoff to landing, but who launched their careers at the same time.
