SNOWBOARDER Magazine announces the 3rd stop on its 5 part Superpass Series. The newly created five stop series gives up-and-coming riders the opportunity to qualify to session alongside the likes of Sebastien Toutant, Halldor Helgason, Mark McMorris, Tyler Flanagan, Pat Moore, Jessica Kimura and Scotty Lago at the 15th annual Superpark.
“At each of the first two stops on the Superpass Series (Mt. Creek and Moonlight Basin respectively) we’ve been blown away with the level of riding by the locals,” said SNOWBOARDER Publisher Chris Engelsman. “We are excited to offer the locals at Powder Ridge, MN an opportunity to showcase their talents and potentially win an invitation to Superpark 15® the World’s largest pro snowboarding invitational event.”
Each season SNOWBOARDER Magazine receives hundreds of requests from riders looking for an elusive entry into Superpark. The magazine has created this series to finally give the common snowboarder a chance to put their bag of tricks where their mouth is.
Registration begins at 9am this Sunday at North Chalet and the field is limited to 50 riders on a first come, first serve basis. More info on Powder Ridge resort can be found at powderridge.com. The course consists of 3 jumps (25ft, 35ft, 45ft) and 3 judges. The top ten riders in the semis will face off in the finals in a best of three runs format. The top finishers will receive prizes from participating sponsors with the possibility of the first place winner over the age of 18 receiving an invitation to Superpark 15®.
Helmets are required to participate in this event. For additional information, and to download the Registration and Liability Waiver, visit here: fresh.snowboardermag.com/feature/superpass-superpark-qualifiers
