Youngest X Games Big Air Competitor Ever Wins Gold in Norway: 13-Year-Old Kokomo Murase

With her Japanese teammate and fellow X Games Big Air gold medalist Takeru Otsuka watching at the bottom, 13-year-old Kokomo Murase made history by putting down the first ever backside double cork 1260 in a women’s snowboarding final AND becoming the youngest snowboarder to ever win X Games gold in Big Air.

We should have seen this coming after she put one down at the Tsugaike Ski Resort earlier this year and uploaded it to Instagram, but landing it on the big stage in Oslo is a whole other level. Huge congrats to Kokomo on making history, we are sure we will be seeing more of her name in the years to come! Enni Rukajarvi Takes Bronze in X Games Oslo:

Enni Rukajarvi takes home third with a switch frontside 720 as well as a front 720 to back it up. Most notably missing from the podium was 2018 Winter Olympic Big Air gold medalist Anna Gasser, as well as the new up-and-comer Reira Iwabuchi. Full results below.
