Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month is a national initiative which encourages children and adults to establish a strong skiing or riding foundation by taking lessons with a professional instructor. It also challenges current skiers and snowboarders to improve their skills through instruction and coaching.

Learn at the Best of Tahoe Resorts
At Heavenly, adults can jump into the sport with two lessons for the price of one. The $179 package includes two consecutive days of half-day skiing or snowboarding lessons, limited access lift tickets and rental equipment. Northstar lives up to its reputation as the best resort for families through its ski and snowboard programs for kids age three through 12. Receive a $20 savings per day with advanced reservations of three consecutive days of kids' group lessons, Kids' Ultimate 4 semi-private instruction (maximum of four students per class) or children's snowboard instruction at the world's only Burton Academy. Guests who reserve more than three consecutive days receive a commemorative gift bag and individualized concierge services.
Kirkwood is host to the best learning terrain in the Tahoe region. Throughout January, the resort offers first-time skiers and riders a 2.5-hour Learn to Ski/Snowboard lesson, which includes equipment rental and a beginner lift access ticket for just $89.
