Former Professional Snowboarder Nate Bozung Arrested Following Standoff in Park City
If you follow any handful of riders on social media, you might have seen the following headline popping up on your Instagram yesterday. And if you follow @boznutz, you would have seen a selfie taken during the same said headline. According to Fox 13 Salt Lake City, “former professional snowboarder Nate Bozung was taken into custody in Summit County after his neighbors say he threatened them with kitchen knives and an "AR style rifle" early Saturday morning.”
The news story then reads about a late night altercation with a neighbor where Bozung retrieved ammunition from his car and threatened the life of said neighbor. After retreating into his home, the police were called, received a search warrant, and eventually made contact with Bozung, ending in his arrest. Booked for Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Restricted Person, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia, Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct, police say "[Bozung] would constitute a substantial danger to any other person or to the community, or is likely to flee the jurisdiction of the court Bozung poses a substantial threat to the community due to the severity of the crime" and they recommended he receive additional detention.” Video below.
Bozung could be seen on Instagram yesterday posting, at one point calling the incident “Guerrilla Marketing”.
