It is official! January ’17 is now the snowiest month on record at Mammoth Mountain. To date, 241 inches (over 20 feet) has fallen in the month of January at Mammoth’s Main Lodge, where records are kept. That brings the season total to 344 inches of snowfall! 58 more inches fell over the weekend!
Currently, there are 6 lifts operating at Mammoth as crews work to safely open more terrain. Make sure to check the California Department of Transportation for the latest on road conditions becuase chains and snow tires will likely be required. Cheers to more weeks of winter!
