Pro Ride Offers Backcountry Specific Training

Whistler, B.C. October 27, 2013 – Pro Ride announces the dates for its new backcountry specific training camp. This camp will address goals and needs of riders looking to start experiencing the backcountry, and those looking to advance their already present skill set.

The program will take students through 5 days of backcountry specific coaching with Pro Ride's top coaches, followed by a 2.5-day AST (avalanche skills training) level 1 course and an earn your turns backcountry day trip. Upon completion of the AST level 1 students will also have the option of going cat boarding day, heli boarding or both.

The snowboarding program will be held over two weeks and priced at the regular two week camp rate for this introductory season. The scheduled dates are – March 1st 2014 & March 15th 2014.

Days in the backcountry have always been an important part of the Pro Ride teams winter season. With this program they are able to give this experience to the public. Whistler Blackcomb's off-piste Alpine terrain is an extensive area with steep summits, power-filled open meadows and gladed tree runs.
