Snowboarder Torah Bright and Freeskier Sarah Burke Both Nominated For Best Female Action Sport Athlete ESPY Award; Torah Bright Also Nominated For Teen Choice Best Action Sports Athlete Award.

Both ladies were nominated for a 2009 ESPY Award in the Best Female Action Sports Athlete category. Torah Bright was also nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the Best Action Sports Athlete - Female category. Both pros are coming off a phenomenal 2008/2009 winter season, where they both claimed Gold at the Winter X Games, and Torah went on to win the US Open of Snowboarding in March.

A pioneer in women's freeskiing, Sarah Burke is no stranger to the ESPYs, in 2007 she was the first skier (male or female) to ever win an ESPY Award when she took home the trophy in this category. 2009 was a marquee year for Sarah, which saw her claim her third consecutive X Games Gold medal in the Superpipe competition.
The ESPYs gather top celebrities from sports and entertainment to recognize the past year in sports by noting their major achievements and remarkable performances.
