Shaun White and Chloe Kim Win Best Olympians at ESPYS

We don’t have to do ESPYS predictions because before the broadcast even officially started Shaun White posted a photo with his 2018 ESPY for the Best Male Olympian category and Chloe Kim’s photo popped up on the ESPY’s twitter page claiming victory in her category shortly after. As arguably the two biggest names coming out of PyeongChang (with Red Gerard as a threatening possible favorite to White’s second ESPY since 2010), the win isn’t too big of a shock. It is kind of like the Warriors beating the Cavs. We all knew it was probably going to happen… and then it did.

Beating out Red Gerard, Jamie Anderson and some other non-snowboarders that we can’t recall off the top of our heads, Chloe and Shaun both can still take home multiple awards on the night. White was also nominated for Best Olympic Moment after taking gold on his final run and Chloe has a chance to take home Best Female Athlete, as well as Best Female Action Sports Athlete. But it isn’t our award show and it is about to be five o’clock, so maybe we will write about that tomorrow. Good luck to the both of them for the rest of the night, and a shoutout to Marcus Kleveland for his nomination for Best Male Action Sports Athlete, maybe they will actually announce your award on the show and you can get some primetime ESPY coverage with an audience size that you probably dwarf with every Instagram upload.
