Volcano Erupts at Ski Resort in Chile, Resort Stays Open

End of times for sliding sideways on hill? Nope. We don’t even know if the resort stopped operation for the day after a volcano erupted on hill. To be fair, we aren’t positive it was inbounds or not, but the hashtags “#Chile #JustAnotherDay #Volcano #OpenForBusiness #HopeYouBroughtAJacket” were seen circulating with videos which brings us to believe that Chileans are some of the relaxed people on earth. Per multiple reports from media around the world and Instagram uploads from patrons on hill, a 5,000ft plume of smoke and volcanic ash arose from Nevados de Chillán, one of Chile’s most popular ski resorts in the Andes. No injuries have been reported, and as of today the resort is still listed as open on the website. The eruption is one of the many seismic occurences in Chile over the past month. The alert level has been raised, but no evacuations have been initiated. Video below:
