Waterville Valley Goes Pink for Breast Cancer on Superbowl Sunday

Waterville Valley, NH, January 21, 2010 – For the fifth consecutive year Waterville Valley Resort is turning its mountain pink to raise funds for Boarding for Breast Cancer ( B4BC) on Superbowl Sunday, February 7, 2010. There will be lots of ways for skiers b4bc2and riders to participate including an Oakley Pink Rail Jam and the Ultimate Pink Raffle with a huge list of returning and new sponsors, featuring snowboards from Rome, Burton, Nitro, Betty Rides, K2, Gnu, Flow and Forum. Also in the raffle are products from Skullcandy, Spy, Von Zipper, Nixon, Element, Etnies, Hurley, Bonfire, DC, Volcom, Reef, Billabong, DVS, Electric, Oneil, Roxy, Sessions, Vans, Oakley, Eastern Boarder and special edition B4BC NXTZ’s. Pink B4BC Raffle tickets will be $2 each and sold all weekend. You do not need to be present to win. The Ultimate Pink Raffle will take place at 2pm on the 2nd floor of the base lodge during the awards for the rail jam.

Waterville Valley’s terrain park crew will host an Oakley Pink Rail Jam for B4BC on Sunday. Registration is from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. and the $40 entry fee includes an Exhibition lift ticket, Pink goodie bag and Pink Raffle ticket. The Rail Jam kicks off at 12:00 pm. The resort will donate the full $40 entry fee to Boarding for Breast Cancer.

Waterville Valley has raised over $23,000 for B4BC in the last three years. By turning the mountain Pink, Waterville Valley is supporting B4BC’s efforts to educate young women about the importance of early breast cancer detection and the value of an active lifestyle.
