From Whistler Blackcomb:

Whistler Blackcomb kicked off the 2016/2017 winter season the very best way possible on Wednesday November 23, with 25 centimeters of fresh snow falling on Tuesday evening and another 5 centimeters falling during the day, as excited skiers and snowboarders got their first powder turns of the season under their belts on Whistler Mountain. Blackcomb Mountain will join Whistler tomorrow opening for the season, along with the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola connecting the two mountains.

The forecast is looking promising heading into the weekend with more snow and lower freezing levels, adding to the 150 centimeters of snow that have already fallen in November. The current snow base as measured mid mountain at the Pig Alley Weather Station on Whistler Mountain now sits at 130 centimeters.
