Winter Insight: what current El Nino patterns mean for potential West Coast snowfall

Tahoe Snow Forecaster, Bryan Allegretto briefly breaks down the current state of El Niño and what it could mean for West Coast resorts this year. If the weather pattern continued to strengthen, we could enter “super strong territory” which has only been since twice in the past forty years. Allegretto continues, noting after four years of drought, historical data dictate a break in the pattern and if that does happen, a strong El Niña the following year could mean lots of snow then, too. Granted, it’s all prediction currently, but after last season’s light year, we’ll take this good news.
