Mount Baldy, March 13 2010 -- For the fourth year in a row Southern California's own Mt.Baldy mountain ski resort hosted Money N Tha Bank Jib Jam. Snowboarders & Freeskiers got jibby and hucked themselves to win cash prizes and a slew of free shwag. The yearly contest brings out some of the heaviest hitters in the SoCal game, with a very technical setup that test the limits and barriers of tried true and tested riders. Once again they stepped their game up to claim the money that n tha bank.
The mission: to bring back the soul and spirit of snowboarding & skiing back to the unknown riders and the smaller underground resorts who never get the chance to showcase their terrain and local talent for an opportunity to make a name for them selves. Things still haven't changed, and four years later the main purpose of the event is to have fun and give back to the local community of riders.
Running the event creation, course design, course construction, sponsorships and all media marketing for the fourth straight year are professional action sports photographer/local snowboarder/rock climber Nick Ciotti and partner in crime photo-journalist/local snowboarder LaFonzo "Snowdogg" Carter, also owner of Thug Crew Snowboarding together bring over 30 years experience in the snow industry to provide this event with the Mt.Baldy management. To further encourage the event, numerous sponsors have joined a helping hand with sponsored gifts added to the growing cash purse and prize tally. Currently, the list of sponsors contributing are Mt.Baldy Resort, S4 Optical, Ellis Snowboards, Thug Crew Snowboarding, Anenberg Clothing, Explosive Industries, Budweiser, Couch Boy, Facelift Concepts, Monster Energy, Tyrant Snowboards, Freedom Clothing, Bad Boarders, Karsak Bag'z, Neff Headwear,Val Surf.
