The 11th annual edition of the iconic pre-season jib showdown, Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails is only a day away from officially closing out summertime in Southern California with over 140 tons of ice chipped that will be turned into snow and the most complex set up the event has ever had. Bear Mountain just sent over this photo leak of the HDHR course and it’s a doozy. Two separate sides allow for the raucous HDHR crowd to literally be in the middle of the action. Riders will drop in heats in both zones of the course, navigating the plethora of creative options. With boarders like Spencer Schubert, Tommy Gesme, Zak Hale, Dillon Ojo, Johnny Lazzareschi, Melissa Evans, Madison Blackley, Justin Fronius, Max Warbington, and Jaeger Bailey set to drop into the mass of closeouts, drop-down rails, wallrides, and more, this is shaping up to be the most exciting edition of this legendary contest to date.

In addition to the competition, over thirty snow brands will be on hand in a massive vendor village and Bear’s infamous beach bar will be open for business. Make sure to get ready for winter by purchasing a season pass during the Screamin’ Deals pass sale. HDHR is the perfect opportunity to pick up the new Cali4nia pass which lets you ride at Mammoth, June, Bear and Snow Summit all winter. Go to for all the info.
