Eric Jackson is officially the 10th best snowboarder on the planet. To put that into perspective, consider this: There are approximately 7,484,325,476 human beings on earth, so that makes E-Jack seem pretty god damn impressive on paper. And he was even more impressive on the silver screen last winter. In The Fourth Phase, Eric absolutely annihilated every spine, pat-down and chute that lay in front of him and he was rewarded by his peers for it. Austen Sweetin is no stranger to hairy situations while strapped in, and he said about E-Jack’s winter, “Eric Jackson was on fire this year. He was a standout in The Fourth Phase and his AK riding was next level. Eric has always been an insane snowboarder but this year he blew my mind!” On top of his clips in Travis Rice’s 2016 epic, E-Jack also took home some X Games hardware, winning bronze in the backcountry portion of the video-based event. What separates Eric from many in his field is the raw muscle he portrays in his approach. In other words, Eric “never takes the easy way,” according to his brother and famed ripper, John, but it was Scott Stevens who attested to Eric’s riding that resonated with this author. Scotty Says, “He’s been so powerful for so many years. Just a beast to watch! I wish I had his power.” Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Eric Jackson kicks off SNOWBOARDER Magazine’s Top Ten Riders of the Year, and we couldn’t be more hyped to announce that. Stay tuned for more!
