It is with heavy hearts we report that Jean Nerva passed away yesterday at the age of 58. In the stylish and bright times of ’80s snowboarding, the frenchman was on the forefront of European riding with carves that still hold up as some of the most graceful in the game. As we sit back and reflect on old articles, you can see his influences on the current scene as carving makes a comeback. We invite you to watch the famed Pachamama with Jean and Peter Bauer, as well as peruse through an old cover story from our second volume highlighting Nerva in New Zealand. Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Jean and we extend our thanks for everything he did for snowboarding!
