2018-2019 Burton Qualifiers Tour Stop 3: China

For the first time ever, the Burton Qualifiers touched down in Asia where Genting Secret Garden served as stop 3 of the tour. A big turnout of up-and-coming rippers converged from across the region to dial in their moves for a piece of the $30,000 USD prize purse. The event was held on what will be the 2022 Olympic Slopestyle venue with a custom rail line built specifically for the Burton Qualifiers.

As is typical for the area, riders were greeted with bluebird skies and mild conditions—the perfect recipe for progression within China's emerging park scene. We saw a lot of solid riding throughout the day with bigger, more technical tricks that wouldn't have been attempted in previous years. Watch out for these kids in the years to come! In the end, the top three in both the Open and 15 & Under divisions walked away with cash, while the top six in each division got an invite to the tour finals at Seven Springs, Pennsylvania.

China was the third of seven Burton Qualifiers stops. For full tour info and to see where we're heading next, visit BurtonQualifiers.com.
