DC TRANSITORS 2: EPISODE 3 – CANADA
The mountains of eastern British Columbia are a mecca that the bastions of backcountry riding pilgrimage to each season. The Whistler backcountry, in particular, is loaded with seemingly endless peaks, steep faces, and the locations of a litany of legendary jumps. So of course, as winter turns into spring, the trailheads north of Vancouver are packed with legions of professional riders looking for the ideal filming conditions of bluebird days and fresh snow. In mid-March, DC Snowboarding’s Torstein Horgmo, Iikka Backstrom, Sebbe De Buck, and Mons Roisland touched down in the Pacific Ranges ready to film for the third installment of DC Transitors 2. Mother Nature had other plans, though, and turned up the thermostat to a balmy 13 degrees Celsius, baking the backcountry and mandating resort laps after the crew had just a few days out sledding. An uncharacteristic early summer ensued and once the DC boys stacked while they could, they sent it to the city where they lapped the Seymour parks. This is only episode three of Transitors 2, so watch the above and stay tuned for episode 4 when the team heads to the Southern Hemisphere in search of summertime snow.
