When you are heading into space, there are a few things you need: a group of qualified and motivated individuals who are aptly prepared for an expedition, the correct atmospheric conditions, and plenty of fuel (ie, Dunkin Donuts iced coffee). With these things accounted for, the ladies of Jetpack set out on their mission last winter, dedicated to exploration of foreign tundra wherever their four-wheel drive rocketship would take them. They traversed through Utah, the Midwest, and New England looking for precious metals to drop into for documentation. By all accounts, the mission was a successful one. Despite freezing cold temperatures, and practically inhospitable amounts of moon-like snow, Danika Duffy, Nirvana Ortanez, Isabella Borriello, Corinne Pasela, Desiree Melancon, Mary Rand, Alexa McCarty, and Jackie Lammert defied the gravitational pull of their surroundings and threw down in both familiar and unfamiliar urban terrain. The above footage is Jetpack’s premiere odyssey, four and a half minutes of bonafide boarding on down rails, double kinks, stone structures, tree jibs, snow tranny, and more. This is Jetpack Blast Off! Filmed and edited by Amanda Hankison.
