To say that there is something in l’eau in Quebec that turns out impressive snowboarders would be an understatement. For years, the cold winters of this eastern province have been the proving ground for waves of street riding talent and at Superpark 18, the three main contingents of Quebecois snowboarders all arrived at Mt. Hood to shut down feature after feature: Deja Vu, Brothers Factory, and Nowamean. Nowamean has emerged over the past few seasons through the deft lens of Jerome Page, showcasing the insane riding of some of Quebec’s most talented up and comers: Jo Truchon, Alexis Mailhot, Fred Lacroix, Axel Stall, Alex Gogo, Dillon Ojo, and more. While Superpark 18 may have been the site for a a solid French Canadian invasion, it sounds pretty inviting when you call it Attack of the French Toast and it was a heck of a scene to watch in person. Don’t worry, if you weren’t able to be at Mt. Hood Meadows in person, you can enjoy Nowamean’s take of this year’s edition of Superpark right here, in short movie format.
