Most of us are impatiently awaiting the beginning of the Mt. Hood summer camp edits so that we may revel in their slushy glory, briefly forgetting about the long interim of time that still separates us from fresh snow; but even in those videos it is glaringly evident, with all of the waterlogged, dirt-streaked snow, that it is summer time. Recently The North Face sent Clint Allen and Roland Morley-Brown on a powder mission to Chile and capture some riding that has none of the unsightly attributes of warm weather. At first they, too, were greeted by beach-like breezes instead of the frigid mountain gales that they were after. But with the unwavering determination of inveterate powder hounds, the boys chased the weather and, unlike most of us at this time of year, finally found winter.
